Memorial sites are seen as the final resting grounds for many. They’re placed with good intentions, to remember and to memorialize, but they have a double-edged sword reality. They’re a constant reminder of short lived lives and tragedies in cities like mine. Like a twisting knife in an open wound that will never close.
